Working with an agency

Is an OnlyFans agency worth it?

When an agency pays for itself, when you are better off on your own, and a simple test you can run on your own numbers.

An agency is worth it when it grows your income by more than its share, or gives you back time you value more than the money. It is not worth it when it takes a large cut of income you would have earned anyway.

Key takeaways

  1. At a 40% share, your net needs to reach about 1.7× today’s to break even.
  2. Agencies help most when time, messaging or growth is the bottleneck.
  3. They help least on a well-run page you enjoy running.
  4. A trial period is the cheapest way to find out.
01

The one-line test

1.7×

If an agency takes 40% of net, you keep 60%. It only leaves you better off if your net earnings with the agency reach about 1.7 times what you make on your own. Below that, you are paying for time saved.

02

When an agency is usually worth it

Time

You have no time for the business side

Messaging, scheduling, promotion and pricing can take more hours than filming.

Growth

Your income has plateaued

A team that tests pricing, promotions and retention can find growth you have not.

Messaging

Fan chat is leaving money on the table

Paid messages and tips depend on fast, consistent replies at all hours.

Privacy

You want to stay more private

An agency can run promotion and messaging so less of your time and identity is involved.

03

When it usually is not

  • You already run a well-tuned page and enjoy the business side. The share may cost more than the growth it adds.
  • You cannot create consistently. No agency can sell content that does not exist.
  • The agency cannot explain how it will grow your income, only that it will.
  • You would have to give up control of your account, your boundaries or what is said in your name.
04

Run the numbers on your page

  1. Know your baselineWrite down your average net monthly earnings over the last three months.
  2. Get the real rateAsk the agency for its percentage and what it is taken from.
  3. Find break-evenDivide your current net by the share you would keep. At 40%, that is your current net ÷ 0.6.
  4. Ask for a planAsk, in writing, what the agency expects to change in the first 30 to 90 days and how it will measure it.
  5. Test itUse a trial period to see whether you are on course to beat the break-even.
Example

You net $3,000 a month. At a 40% share, the agency needs to get you to about $5,000 net for you to keep the same $3,000. Above that, you are ahead.

How Privé works

We start every creator with a 30-day pilot, then review the workflow, content, communication and performance together before either side commits to more.

  • You remain the account holder throughout.
  • Our share of net is agreed together on a call and confirmed in writing before you sign.
  • If it is not working, we remove our access within 24 hours and give you a written handover.

If you want an honest view of whether management makes sense for your page, apply confidentially. Applying does not commit you to anything.
